Local Republicans should urge former congressional/state senate candidate Ed Harrison to run for a countywide post in Ellis County — maybe GOP county chair.
Perhaps it’s a few steps down from almost knocking off centrist Democrat Martin Frost in the early 90s, but if there’s one Ellis County resident that is a proven conservative in every sense of that phrase, it’s definitely Harrison.
County Judge Ed Harrison has a nice ring to it (assuming the stars line up and Congressman Joe Barton retires and is replaced by Chad Adams, our current county judge); or maybe even County Chair Ed Harrison.
