This time, The Ellis County Observer really will be seeing less of me. And this time again, I’m pulling in a few contributors and editors from outside any one “political interest” to help keep this site going. Ok, so let’s cut the crap and let me explain what’s taking place: (a) I’m freelancing for The Ellis County Press again, so I’ll be devoting at least part-time efforts to that - as well as trying to manage and own two businesses. I’ll definitely still be involved in politics - just in a role that I’ve never really separated from: muckraker and politician.
At least with the ECP I’ll be more tightly regulated on what I personally write/blog about. However, with the new crop of editors and contributors, it’s all in their court. I will still publish this site. It’s just that it’ll be more in concert with the ECP - i.e., I’ve got less reign to say whatever the heck I want. We’ll let users and readers do that - to an extent (we’ve had to delete, moderate and ban a few people recently), but for the most part, local politics - with the additions of the two ECP blogs set to hit soon - will be getting more interesting.
As always, send tips, news, whatever: info@elliscountyobserver.com.
And pay attention to the newsstands each and every Thursday.

I’m interested to see what changes come to the ECO and the ECP.

Anyone want to put a pool on the time it will take to see Joey’s by-line at the ECP?

Hah, well, eight ball, you won’t be seeing my byline at all.
