  • This is the same idiot who pushed for the tax roll back a few years ago that cost the sheriff to lose deputy positions. Now he has two sons working for the sheriff. What’s up with that?

  • Well said.

  • I don’t know about what you are saying, but the man has stated several facts. We all need to notice, he is right!!

  • I don’t know Mr. Callendar, but anyone with any sense, can see that he’s right on the money.

  • you are so right sir, If McKinney was to be elected “King Chad” will reign supreme!

  • If McKinney gets elected King Chad will have control… voters beware!!

  • AMEN! sick of lies

  • If Steve McKinney get elected in as Sheriff, Chad will have all his crones in. Voters beware!

  • Calvin Michaels

The thought of Adams running the law enforcement agency for Ellis County scares me. Sure, he might make sure McKenny is the next Sheriif, but if that happens we know who will be pulling the strings.

  • I personally think you guys are on a conspiracy theory binge. It could be worse, though, right? We could have Al Cornelius and the Waxahachie Daily establishment controlling everything…

  • Joey… have you been drinking the Kool-Aid? This is no conspiracy, and it is not funny. This is a serious problem. Use your brain man, Adams is the next Hitler. The next thing you know we will have to being to say Heil Chad! :)

Seriously, there is too much brother in law going on with Adams, he needs to go and he doesn’t need any more hey boys!

  • shiek mohamed smith

Yes this is the same old Roy that helped roll back the taxes in Ellis County, but he was not responsible for the firing of the Deputies…in fact I believe one of his sons lost his job over that debacle…but it wasn’t the fault of the roll back.

The reason for the firings was simple retaliation by old Al and his commissioners who were pissed off that the people took the government to task…I remember that the scare tactic was that we would lose everything we had and be living under a bridge in a cardboard box if that rollback passed…but it did…and we didnt.

Oh sure for a few weeks that mean old group of cronies took it out on the citizens by firing half the sheriffs department and closing satellite offices, but guess what? We got it all back…and without a new tax increase…imagine that!

I only wish the every day citizen of Ellis County could wake up and see what is going on here in our county.

We had a homeland security director with no training, education, experience or expertise in any field related to security…that was Sharon McKinney…all of your and my security dependent upon someone who has never managed an emergency in her life…now what do we have?

Now we have a Human Resources Director with no training, education, experience or expertise in the field of human resources…if you were to take the time to check you would see that all other counties have people actually qualified for this position…and guess what…most of them have degrees and many years experience in the field of Human Resources…not us.

We have an appointee based on Cronyism and party loyalty…we have someone who is now in charge of a human resources department of over 500 people who has never worked in a human resources department..no relevant degree…no practical experience…and recommended by whom?

The time for change is upon us…we can start now. Get your butts out and vote

  • Diana, has actually been doing a great job.She is the ONLY human resource director out of the last two who is upgrading our county data to the software the county taxpayers purchased several years ago for human resources.
As for King Chad comments….Most leaders both government or private sector are going to surround themselves with people they can rely on and trust….Thats just good business sense.
Most of the people that blog this junk are ex county employees or are elected officials that cant seem to rally support for what they want to talk about …..themselves…
Your exactly right Steve Mckinney would bring something to the Sheriffs office they are not used too. …It’s called professionalism.
You may look it up for those that don’t know http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page

  • I think that the letter was well written. Mr. Callender is 100% correct. Carroll, Wilhelm, and the rest of the Bible Church Mafia including Adams is well on their way to making Ellis County there own little version of Germany in the early 1940’s. McKinney is either the smartest guy in the world or the dumbest. The Adams regime will either propel him into the Sheriff’s Office or it will totally backfire and put him out of politics.

WAKE UP PEOPLE! Chad Adams has appointed one of our county court at law judges, Constable of Precinct #4, and who knows what else behind our backs. He fired the new Human Resources Director, and then fired her assistant after she rubbed on his “Christmas” balls a little too hard at the County Christmas Party. Little Ms. Adams must not have appreciated that, so the assistant got the boot too. But Adams is still running scared over that one. In fact, he was allegedly overheard talking on the phone about some documents or something the ex-Human Resources Director was supposed to have made off with. Maybe she will sue the County and the truth will be exposed. Our new Director, although I don’t know her, has an uphill battle with Napoleon at the helm. If I was her I would have refused the position given its history.

    GET OUT AND VOTE!!!

Vote for Johnny Brown, Republican Candidate for Ellis County Sheriff.

Then, in 2010, lets send Chad Adams packing.

Terry Nay, we need you to run for County Judge. You got the name, and the smarts to make it happen. Bring Ellis County back to the citizens. VOTE ADAMS OUT.

  • Nay? Absolutely!

That will mean free car washes for everybody! As Judge he can hold the Comish Court at the Spa on 77 to save on County gas! IT WOULD BE WONDERFUL!!!!! Lol

Regardless of the messenger, the facts stand on their own. Adams is a problem. He is already counting his chickens. Let’s make that a case of premature adulation for Judge Adams-(just a guess – I wasn’t at the Christmas party).

We missed the vote on Chad last time. Don’t let it happen again. And DON’T let him put more idiots in office.

  • Look folks, here is the deal!

McKinney has absolutley no police expericence other than being a ticketjockey. In his career with Texas DPS he only made it one rung up the ladder to corpral. In DPS corpral is basically the sergants hey boy. It is not a rank that he would retain if he transfered to a different area of DPS. Speaking of which, why didn’t this man ever move to some other area than Highway Patrol. I will tell you why, no drive or motivation. I am sure he can write the hell out of some tickets, and that is a necessary evil. However it doesn’t make him a well rounded peace officer, which is necessary to be a good Sheriff. He is a good hey boy though, very well qualified. That is what Adams wants and is why Adams will push Mckinney. We don’t need someone that is not self driven. We dont’ need someone that is happy with being a hey boy.

I hope everybody thinkis about this and decites to put the right man in the Sheriff’s office.

    JOHNNY BROWN FOR SHERIFF

  • What has Johnny Brown done in his law enforcement career. Been a dope cop and K-9 handler. WOW…… that’s moving up the rank ladder and well rounded. Funny thing his experience or lack of has been with little departments. Not one with a major department. Wonder why? Lack of drive or maybe the large ones would not hire him. Just food for thought. BTW….. DPS moves you when you are promoted….. That’s why some stay in one location their entire career. They set down roots and start raising a family in a community they like and do not want to move their family.

  • Thank you Funnything, you made my point for me. Brown has investigative experience and is diversified.

Sounds like you admit McKinney can write the hell out of some tickets, but beyond that he is lost. Unless being the seargant’s hey boy counts for something. Thanks for being honest with yourself and everyone else.

    JOHNNY BROWN FOR SHERIFF

  • Please…….. Investigative experience…. most of the major drug seizures in this county are made by the road officers, not the drug unit. Check your stats. Pound for pound the county drug unit can not even touch the road officers. McKinney was a USAF Military Policeman, a city officer with Midlothian PD a deputy with the ECSO, a DPS Trooper, a deputy with the ECSO second time and currently a constable. That is diversified. He also performed investigations during his 32 year law enforcement career. Funny thing, he has been a full time law enforcement officer for 32 years. He had not split his time, he’s been a law enforcement officer all his adult life. Johnny was not sure if he wanted to be a cop or a mechanic.

Vote for the proven true professional lawman Steve McKinney.

  • How did he have time to do all of those jobs while fathering so many bastard children??

You get your facts right, go do an open records request on all of the cases McKinney has filed and one on what Brown has filed. I have. McKinney can’t hold a candle to Brown even though he may have a few years on Brown. But when you’re the sergeant’s little hey boy and fetching coffee for a living or under Chad’s desk most of the time it is hard to get out on the “road” and do some real police work.

We don’t need McKinney in the Adams Reich.

    Vote for Johnny Brown

  • I agree we don’t need anyone in the Adams Reich….. I also agree McKinney can’t hold a candle to Brown, he does not have any mechanic experience. McKinney devoted his adult life to law enforcement. He’s not been doing it part time between other jobs like your boy. I noticed McKinney was awarded the states highest law enforcement award. The Medal of Valor. The State of Texas does not hand those out for fun. What did your boy get…… A good boy letter from the Midlothian Better Business Bureau for oil changes.

  • Calvin Michaels

Oh my, I thought everyone had moved beyond the mudslinging. Come on BOYS, this stuff gets old. Can you stop please?

  • Sorry Calvin. I knew the dope cops would start up again when McKinney officially announced. They must be worried about their jobs……….. I’ve not read much in the papers about the big busts they have been making…. Oh, that’s because they have not been doing anything. When you are in an undercover unit accountability is a must. Maybe that’s why they are so concerned who will be the next sheriff. A non-dope cop (James or Steve)would question these things and make the appropriate changes. I would be worried to if I were them.

  • Johnny is not working dope anymore, he is in CID, and he also solved up a ton of burglaries last months and jailed the burglars. That is what this county needs, we don’t need any glorified, go get me some coffee, get under my desk, Chad blowing ticket jockeys!

Steve and James are surely dopey cops, don’t kid yourself.

  • Nobody is knocking McKinney. What I will knock is his relationship with Chad Adams. No one can question that. What qualifications did he have to be Constable? What qualifications does his wife have to be the director of Homeland Security for the County? Ask the county’s fire chiefs what they think of Sharon McKinney and her “ability” to run Homeland Security. Steve is a great guy, nobody is questioning his 30 year law enforcement career. I question his intentions. He is Chad Adams in a police uniform. I think that the citizens of this County are going to give Adams a wakeup call, and a brief view of things to come in 2010.

  • sounds like you have a place in the Gustapo promised. I bet you can go get Steved coffee. He will like having somebody get it for him. Should be a sense of accomplishment.

  • [...] that Roy Callendar Sr. wrote a year or so ago before the sheriff’s race got into full swing, so for our readers who really took to the streets with this one in the form of inflammatory rhetoric… – I’m re-posting [...]
