ECP Forum: Councilman to Moderate
The Feb. 9 Ellis County Press/Taxpayers Alliance for Good Government Candidate Forum will be moderated by Midlothian Councilman Ken Chambers.
The format is this: candidates at an allotted time (7, 7:30, 8, 8:30) will receive a five-minute introduction to say whatever he/she wants to say. Then Councilman Chambers will field questions from the audience for the remaining time.
Midlothian Civic Center
7 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Candidates in four races have been invited. There will be a media table for the local media who want to show up as well.
Format:
*Confirmed participant
7:00 p.m. - Constable Precinct 4 - Kyle Neal* vs. Mike Jones*
7:30 p.m. - County Commissioner Precinct 3 - Heath Sims* (I) vs. Brian Thompson
8:00 p.m. - Sheriff - Johnny Brown* vs. Steve McKinney vs. James Ledbetter
8:30 p.m. - DA - Rodney Ramsey* vs. Joe Grubbs

I think you scared the unconfirmed participants. They probably feel the confirmed participants have home field advantage

Why invite just a select few? Why not everyone who is running for elected positions?
Do you joey or other media have other objectives?
I think the canadiates should be knocking on doors or talking to people rather than attending your “set up” meetings.

People need to realize that it’s just the ECP and TAGG names sponsoring this.
I won’t have a say in how this event is run.
