Johnny Brown Isn’t to Blame

There are rumors and reports that people are blaming sheriff candidate Johnny Brown as the source of this report.

I have two witnesses who were in my car the evening I received the four to five documents that appeared on the front page of The Ellis County Press this week.

We are willing to give depositions if we have to and I am willing to tell all that I know. Unfortunately, I do not know who gave me the incident report. I had never seen the man who did.

This is all a huge distraction to get away from the real issue: that County Attorney Joe Grubbs covered up an incident involving one of his prosecutors.

The Waxahachie Daily Light could be publishing a story about this and if they do, they would be doing a disservice if they did not get my two witnesses’ side of the story.

  • Who cares who gave it. If they felt convicted to the right thing that is a good thing.

  • As long as people realize it wasn’t Johnny Brown or heck, any sheriff candidate, then we’re ok.

  • I think that anyone is willing to start rumors as to who gave Joey the report. Who CARES who got it? The fact is that Joey received it, and published it, which he is allowed to do. How do you know it was Ray Stewart? I mean seriously!
