Midlothian HS: Economics Teacher Suing Congress?
Jump to Comments
From the reports today:
A Midlothian High School economics teacher is suing the U.S. Congress for apparent violations of the 27th Amendment. His students told me today that when Congress cut their pay hours they could not constitutionally accept higher pay raises (which are automatic unless Congress rejects them). It’s a bit confusing right now, but if this report is true, that economics teacher is my new-found hero.
While on the subject of MHS, two or three things to point out:
- The folks who did not place Red Oak into Midlothian’s new UIL district are retarded;
- The business law (Ted Pospicil), government/economics (Dee Arterburn) and journalism (Steve Esselman) classes I took while at MHS were by far the most challenging, thought-provoking and foundation-building courses I’ve taken. I owe a lot of gratitude to those unbelievably talented teachers and ex/curent principals Dr. Al Hemmle and Brian Blackwell;
- No apologies for using the word retarded.
