My news staff has broke yet another story for The Ellis County Press:
ROISD sub let go, computer hard drive seizedSeparate incident: Teacher arrested on drug charges

RED OAK – The Red Oak school district is dealing with two separate incidents involving two teachers in a span of four days, as Dallas County Sheriff deputies arrested a teacher last week for drug charges and earlier this week, a substitute was let go after school staff received word of allegations of inappropriate images on ROISD computers.Adam Foley, a substitute teacher at Red Oak Jr. High, was let go after school staff received reports that he had inappropriate images on his school-issued computers.
Karen Miller, the ROISD public relations director, confirmed this but stopped short of specifying what exactly the computer hard drive had on them. Technology specialists seized the equipment and are investigating the matter, she said.
And last week, a teacher was arrested at Red Oak Intermediate School for Dallas County drug charges.
“On Thursday, January 31, a teacher at Red Oak Intermediate School was arrested at the campus on charges related to felony activity,” Miller said. “School officials were informed of the warrant and pending arrest prior to confronting the employee, allowing preparation for as little disruption on the campus as possible. While the exact charges are not known, law enforcement officers with the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office assured ROISD officials that the charges are not related to the school district or its students.
“The district agreed to cooperate fully in the ongoing investigation. Because of the charges, the district immediately placed the teacher on administrative leave pending outcome of the charges. During this time, the employee will not be allowed to return to work or permitted on district property.”
Foley, the son of former Red Oak cheerleading coach and current seventh grade teacher June Burrow, could not be reached for comment. ROISD said substitutes are hired differently than full-fledged school staff and that Foley would not be returning.

Think the Red Oak Record or Ellis County Chronicle will carry the story? Nah…it will get swept way under the rug.

What is the purpose of the RoR besides being the ‘official paper of the City of Red Oak’?

If the ROISD would have FIRED June Burrow after we caught her altering an ROISD document, if the ROISD “police department” had done a REAL objective criminal investigation, the school district might not be suffering this embarrassment.
Image before substance for ROISD…

this is Adam Foley - No effort was made to contact me! also your information is incorrect. Why dont you make an effort to verify information on some of your stories. And I can bet any information given by Keith Johnson is incorrect as he gets his kicks out of destroying the character of others. That must be something that they teach DALLAS POLICE!!

The only character that was destroyed was my daughters. No one else is a victim in this
