Broderick Sargent and Michael Heard have some serious tax issues, according to The Dallas Morning News’ Metro section today.
Sargent owes more than $25,000 in back property taxes and Heard owes $11,500 to the IRS, according to Jon Nielsen’s piece. (Nielsen is a former Waxahachie Daily Light reporter now covering Ellis County for the DMN)
Sargent and Heard face Rodney Paige in the March 4 Democratic primary for Precinct 1 commissioner. The winner of either the March 4 race or the April 11 run-off will face the nominee of the three-way GOP primary for the same precinct (Ferris, Palmer, Ennis, parts of east Waxahachie and Ennis).
