  • Has not TAGG already named their candidate endorsements?

    Why would the others participate?

Several candidates have voiced the same concern for not appearing. TAGG may endorse a candidate, but the people are the deciding factor at the voting polls.

I personnally believe candidates not appearing exhibit a disrespect to the people. The people want the opportunity to meet the candidates and ask questions.

I have assured all the candidates that questions will be screened and only appropriate questions will be asked.

  • We haven’t endorsed in the Precinct 1 races yet.

  • Personally I think a TAGG endorsement is the kiss of death.

  • Ken, if you want to meet the candidates and ask questions, why not show up to a legitimate forum? Like the one at the Waxahachie Civic Center on Monday.

  • I was there. I have nothing but respect for the candidates. I know the stress working a campaign. I have spoken personally with the majority of the candidates who stated that the TAGG forum on Fedruary 9th was conducted profesionally, and they will attend the upcoming forums on 2/23 and 3/3.

  • The TAGG forum is like me requesting to have a forum in my back yard and expecting candidates to show up.

  • It is imperative that taxpayers and citizens of Ellis County pay special attention to endorsements of groups such as TAGG.

Why is it when a group comes forward and tries to make some positive changes in regard to government accountability, they (perhaps candidates?) are TAGGed a “kiss of death”?

On the statewide elections, voters should be checking out the political contributions of our candidates…and their voting record of various bills. It is easy to see who is being “bought off” by big business and special interests and who is truly representing the people. I will be voting accordingly.

We encourage people not to vote blindly!
