This is Why People Are Mad at Me

I get people from all spectrums telling me three different things:

1) “Joey, people in this county hate your guts.”
2) “Joey, keep doing what you’re doing. Don’t be afraid and never give up. I read your blog everyday. You’ve got balls.”
3) “Joey, you are going to make it big politically. We just gotta work on your tact a bit.”

Perhaps I should let people see just why there are so many “against” me:

The Waxahachie Daily Light calls the truth-telling “negative campaign tactics.” If truth-telling and reporting what’s really going on in this corrupt Starr County of the North region is “negative campaign tactics,” I’m the dirtiest campaigner in the history of this area.

I’m working on the tact, though, but I will say this: those who are offended by what I do have the most to hide. This has nothing to do personally with anyone, but if you’re lying with dogs like Grubbs, Knize, Cornelius, etc., you’re going to get fleas.

You folks can hate me all you want but I tell you what: your days of helping cover up for the worst corruption in the state are about to end. And I’ll be on your asses every day until the Lord comes back.

  • ) “Joey, keep doing what you’re doing. Don’t be afraid and never give up. I read your blog everyday. You’ve got balls.”

I vote the above Joey. I never paid much attention to the local public figures here until my daughter’s fiasco. Now the more I look, the more disgusted I get.
If they hate you, it’s because they fear you.

  • I have met that Freddie Bailey fellow. scary thing is came of as nice guy maybe not real bright.

  • Hey Joey in the Ellis County Press article it says that Freddy DeWayne Bailey got probation for indecency with a “five-year-old” but on the TXDPS sex offender registry it says Offense: 36010001 Indecency w/child Sexual Contact with Female 15years old 01/31/2005 6Y PROBATION.

  • Facts dont matter to the ECP or Joey, they just wanted to put a young “scarry” looking black guy up there to highlight their redneck agenda.

  • gingersnap

    shot through the heart

  • Gingersnap(s) are great….put they are generally very
hard…..they are much better dunked in milk.

  • you are not hated… u are not listened to either.
you believe you are.. however… you are dillusional.

you have homo erotic feeings toward Micheal Miessner.. and you over compensate with your comments towards “pretty woman”

your comments ” I own you and your children” concern me. However a session with me..could fix that problem,

I treat this blog as a comic strip.. I do read it but again for humor only.. Your comments about the elections and how you will “turn it up side down” is equal to thinking Ron Paul will win the Presidency. can you say WACK JOB?

what is your true moral compass in this gossip colum/comic strip….

keep up the ELLIS county comedy cenral.

  • life is a ginger snap

  • Bert I love you for calling out Ginher! Kudos to you, as for the many other brainless, motor-mouthes, Joe, how dare you confront anyone with the facts! As for Drtueddle, my broth, Innocent man sent to prrison for twenty years for sending a B-Day card and arrears of $188.00, that they charged me with $290.00. Was found guilty after over 2/3rd’s of his probation, was forced, against the law to register in four cities as a sex offender. But, if you go online you won’t find ANY RECORD on him. This began in March 1989, he went to prison, 1998, because he would not confess to something he never did. it’s now 2008! Wouldn’t you expect to find something on this terrible man? PS, all the registrations had errors of dates of crime from 1984, 1995 etc.
Even his records are so errorneous, along with the forgeries and all, he is considered 2d. 2d. means a weapon, NOT, and repeated brutal criminal acts of violence, that amounta to a DWI in 1985, when he fully served his two years probation and was off his records when hired by CFI, major trucking co. His record was flawless until he was revoked. He will never get out without a confession, which they will never get! I was told this week, by two GOV. employees, “The system is set up to ensure failure! I could bite nails, but it won’t help. We are fighting a war of CORRUPTION there, with Knize, Grubbs and many more. It’s nice to see a person with a mind of their own. I thank you!

As for Joey, those that hate him have a good reason, it’s called FEAR! I have battled that corrupt team for nineteen years now and have eleven more to go. They think I will give up and go away, yeah right, when pigs fly.

  • re re: I’m just pointing out that somebody is wrong with there facts and it’s not necessarily Joey.

  • Does it bother any of the rational thinkers here, assuming there are some, that there is a concerted effort by local defense attorneys to use their money and power to try and knock off our current DA and replace him with a newbie former dirty cop? One thing I can promise you, defense attorneys are not trying to get rid of Grubbs because he is soft on crime.

  • I keep thinking that all charges were dropped? Maybe were screwed either way?

  • Anything would be better than what is going on now. The DA’s
office is supposed to be representing us. Speaking for myself,
the representation wasn’t what it should have been. When something happens like what happened to me, you go in believing everything these people tell you. You have been so traumatize that you are not even in control of your thoughts and you are glad to have the DA representing you. You think he is looking out for your best interests. Well, nothing could be farther from the truth. The DA’s office just wants your case in the win column - a plea bargain qualifies as a win. So they plead the case. It saves them time and money. They tell you that the first time the offender violates probation in the least way, he will be picked up and will serve his 20 years in the pen. Well, nothing could be farther from the truth. They don’t have a clue if he violates probation and they don’t care. Once they have this case in the win column it is done forever. You might as well not exist anymore. So, take it from someone who’s been there. There is no “Justice for all” in Ellis County - far from it. I was a victim of Chitale and a victim of the Ellis County Judicial System.

  • Wow, I have never seen such a biased newspaper in all my life. I wonder how much the Daily Light is getting paid to work for Joe Grubbs? I am personally aware of comments that have been made and letters to the editor that have been written concerning the DA’s misuse of power. This is beyond rediculous.

  • Left out the fact that the WDL hasn’t printed those letters to date. That was the crucial point of my posting.

  • Back to the ex dirty cop wannabe DA. The charges were not dropped. They are not expunged so fire up some open records requests. And I don’t think “former” or “ex” dirty cop are very appropriate. Once a dirty cop, always dirty.

  • I posted comments on the WDL website. The paper only published the one where I said I expected them to do their job and reveal ALL the relevant issues which include the DA refusing to give the victims of Chitale the information they need and the Attorney General ruled they could have. This truly is sick and should be offensive to the general public. The WDL is covering for improper and unethical behavior of those within the DA’s office. I once had JoAnn Livingston apologize to me for her mishandling of Chitale story after the DMN ran its stories. She told me her paper had lacked the resources to do such a story. She now has the opportunity to make up for it but yet she doesn’t. She is a woman. She should stand up for the rights of women and not cave to this good ol boy system that currently has a choke hold on the DA’s office. There was actually a doctor present at Chitale’s apeal to have restrictions of his probation removed. This doctor told me that he to had been mislead by Chitale and wanted to make sure he got what he deserved. I told him how I felt Chitale was a psychopath. He didn’t believe so. I did tell him that I respected his character for showing up at the hearing and being concerned with the pain that the victims had experienced. I misjudged this man who sat beside me. After the hearing he threatened one of the reporters present and told him that if he continued to report on the case he could possibly lose his job. I sometimes feel afraid of people retaliating against me and then I hear of one more woman be raped or one more child being brutalized by someone who should have protected them and I am determined to fight.

  • Further explanation. The WDL only posted up to the word ALL.

  • Roman,

He plead quilty to one reduced misdemeanor charge. Therefore, the felony charges, were in fact, dismissed. A dismissal equals the charges being dropped. Unless he’s tried to have his record expunged and sealed than the arrests will forever be on his record but alas there is no conviction.

This was a free lesson on how the process works. Of course, a google search and/or a conversation with Mr. Ramsey would have covered all of this for you. It’s people like you that make my decision on March 4th lean more towards Mr. Ramsey.

How many people in this county work for Union Pacific? There sure is a lot of railroading going on!

  • Veteren, so because he works out a plea deal to avoid the felony charge, this means he should be the DA of our county? Are you people nuts? Just because Dallas county elects a formal criminal as their district attorney, doesn’t mean we should also.

  • Some people have to be knocked in the head several times before they can understand and comprehend the facts as they are stated. The Texas Bar ruled to give this person Ramsey a license. This isn’t given to just anyone. John Kennedy, former president’s son, had to take the test several times before he even qualified. Dallas County pursues sex crimes aggressively. The fact is that most of the cases given deferred adjudication and probation in Ellis County would end up in prison in Dallas county. Sexual assault is becoming prevalent within our community and if severe steps aren’t taken you won’t be able to let your child play in your own front yard. These sex offenders find ways to get close to victims. They cannot be allowed to work in the city library. They can’t live across the street from our children’s schools or playgrounds. Strict background checks must be done to keep them out of our schools. Do you let your kids go to bathroom by themselves at restaurants? Maybe you should think twice about that if something isn’t done to run these foul scourges of the earth out of the place we call home.

  • Like I have said, if you are interested in evidence and the facts surrounding the arrests of Steve Raney and Rodney Ramsey, then obtain the reports and the records. I believe the facts of the investigation were documented quite thoroughly. Be sure and obtain a copy of the taped conversation between Steve Raney and Rodney Ramsey discussing the destruction of the stolen cocaine. The Texas Rangers have it all.

  • Anonymous- Dallas County places some people on probation for MURDER! And, receive deferred on top of that. I can’t say that I’ve ever seen or heard of anyone being placed on probation in Ellis County for murder.

  • J- I’m with you on this…however, I also believe that “former criminal” does not apply. Sadly, it’s kinda like cheating. Once a cheater, always a cheater.

  • A.J., you have no idea what you are saying. Do you want a murderer getting probation? I believe that a calculated murderer should go to prison. I believe that a murderer deserves the death penalty. I am a firm believer in an eye for an eye. What cases are you talking about in Dallas County? I do know of a recent case where a man just hired a man to kill his wife and the husband was sent to prison. If the jury was given all the facts and an unbiased jury heard the facts and came back with a guilty verdict I admire them greatly. This is why a jury system exists. Joe Grubbs and his assistance do not believe in the competence of the jury system. Therefore they work their backroom deals that favor the perpetrator or some good ol’ boys relative or pal. They seek to make a quick deal so as to get a win on the books at great cost to the victims of crime. There have been cases where the position has been used to carry out personal vendettas and grudges. Why do think so many people are afraid to use their given names? Victims of crime and those who support them are afraid of retalitation by the District Attorney’s office. It’s repugnant to think that the fight for justice has come to this in Ellis County.

  • Anon- Of course I don’t believe a murderer should be getting probation!!! My point was that at least Ellis County is not placing murders on probation…

  • AJ, you are not aware that each time a child is raped the person they are is “murdered”. They will NEVER regain their innocence. They are often burdened by feelings of worthlessness. They are plagued with depression and thoughts of suicide. Thirteen times more likely to abuse alcohol.
Twenty-six times more likely to abuse drugs. Really young children grow up with bizarre sexual behavior and a need to act out.
    Rape-Related Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
Many rape victims experience what is referred to as Rape-Related Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (also called Rape Trauma Syndrome). The four major symptoms of this are:
Re-Experiencing the Trauma: Rape victims may experience recurrent nightmares about the rape, flashbacks or may have an inability to stop remembering the rape.
Social Withdrawal: This symptom has been called ‘psychic numbing’ and involves not experiencing feelings of any kind.
Avoidance Behaviors and Actions: Victims may desire to avoid any feelings or thoughts that might recall to mind events about the rape.
Increased Physiological Arousal Characteristics: This symptom can be marked by an exaggerated startle response, hyper-vigilance, sleep disorders or difficulty concentrate.
AJ, How often do you think murders take place within Ellis County? Well, sexual assualt is a crime that is taking over our community like a epidemic. Are we willing to wait and let it kill our children and our community? Are you?

  • Anon- Did I ever say that I agred with sex offenders getting placed on probation? Sex offenders are often placed on probation due to alack of evidence. With a plea bargain, they may not have a conviction but will always be required to register. At least if they plead out the community is made aware of the predator. I don’t know that is fair to say that sexual assault crimes is a growing epidemic. It seems it is becoming more socially acceptable to report the abuse.

  • Once again AJ you should do more research and find out what is going on around you. If a case cannot be won on DNA evidence by the District Attorney’s office some drastic changes must be made. Deferred adjudication was established for young persons without a history of crime and could have possibly made a mistake based on the bad judgement of an underdeveloped mind and ability to make moral decisions. Joe Grubbs is giving probation and deferred adjudication to persons who have a pattern of sexual assault backed up by personal testimony and documentation. If the person fulfills their probation without being CAUGHT committing a crime the person has the option of having that particular charged removed from their record as if they had never harmed anyone. This particular resolution used in the Chitale case could free a doctor who assaulted multiply victims from his record and allow him to attain a medical license once again. Please let me emphasize to you that there was DNA evidence and proof of prior acts that should have put this man in prison. Now, with your idea that with a plea at least the community is notified. How often do you check the Texas Sex Offender Registry? Probably never. I would hope that persons weren’t aware that a registered sex offender was employed at the Sims’s Library. This is a known place for children of the community to gather.
Sex offenders will continually test boundaries (personal/professional space).
Sex offenders exploit relationships and social norms to test boundaries.
Sex offenders seek professions that allow them access to victims. Do you desire sexual assault to become the norm? Once we weren’t aware of the existance of AIDS. Now we know how you contract it and what steps you take to combat it. You cannot turn a blind eye to this blight that is overcoming our community.
