Does new City Marshal John Erisman know what’s going on, or is this more of the Dale Holt philosophy in action?
[Spoken In Context - sic] A lady went Thurs night to the Wooden Nickel with friends and two men from South Africa put possible GHB in her drink. The last thing she remembers is taking a drink of her drink, and then waking up in the ambulance. But this is how it went down. They spiked her drink, took her to the Ennis Inn and raped her in all ways.. WARNING GRAPHIC: “she was on her period and they damaged her by pushing her tampon into her and other assorted things you don’t want to know.” She called her sister at 1:40 screaming and freaking out but [Name Removed by Editor] could not figure out what was going on. They then left the room, and she locked the door and tried calling police… the guys came back and couldn’t get into [a] deadbolted room, so the guys were stupid enough to call the cops themselves and say that there was a crazy woman locked in their hotel room and they could not get in. Cops came and found her, and arrested the guys and sent her in ambulance. They are South Africans illegally here 90 day work visa is expired….Second thing is the Hispanic guy said he was forcefully robbed this weekend. He got home and was forced into his home by 4 Hispanic males at gunpoint. (he lives on [Removed by Editor] St) They put guns to his and his wife’s head, forced them face down and tied them with zip ties. They stole everything.. his wallet.. the [Removed by Editor] … did not hurt them except the marks from the zip ties etc. Cops took forever to get there and had to cut the ties off the man and his wife. They are scared to death.
Neither newspaper is reporting anything today about the heinous crimes in the Ennis city limits. Please see if Joey has any info!

I hope were not seeing a trend in Ennis where the Resident aliens and illegals become easy targets for robbery like Dallas. Seeing RA and IA’s usually don’t like to use banks. Also they tend to not go to the authorities or the authorities look at it less seriously. I mean if the Mayor of Ennis was zip tied with guns pointed to his heads everyone would know about it.

The question and point should not be “what is John Erisman doing” but why isn’t a public warning issued about these kinds of things, or an article in the paper. You cannot keep people from knowing what is going on in your city and expect them to be careful and aware of their surroundings. You also cannot expect criminals to think twice if you do not report things that happened, and what police action was taken. Keeping quiet is a double edged sword.

I just want to say thanks.
Sometimes I worry about you going off half cocked or taking things personally. But.. I’m very gratefull that you have balls enough to report the truth and let the cards fall where they may.
Generally our local press is so afraid that they may step on the toes of the ones they believe feed them, that they’ve lost their gutts. And.. frankly, I don’t think they have real reporters employed.
Just want to thank you for doing your job the way real reporters should. I must say you’ve gained quite a following. I’m one of them.
Keep up the good work. We need you on our side and I believe that the citizens will do their part to help clean up our county.

Might want to check out the Ennis Daily News on this “alleged” rape. Seems they have a few more facts than your county gossip blog.

News came from the “alleged” victim’s sister. Of course when someone tells you something and they weren’t there it won’t be exact but pretty damn close!

Wonder if EDN got this from actual police report, or police press release?
Sister is still adamant that two men were involved, and that it was quite a bit more heinous than newspaper reports. Either she is grossly exaggerating, or newspaper only has half of story.
Jeff, I take “facts” from the horse’s mouth as higher merit than “facts” reported in newspapers or told by agencies known for half truths or partial stories.
As soon as I talk to the “alleged” victim, if I get a chance to, I will also post HER story.
With that said, false accusation is just as heinous and if she is lying thats too bad. If she is not… then the Ennis Daily only has half of the story.
Oh, and even if you go to a motel room willingly with someone, drunk out of your mind or drugged by said person… changing your mind is a legal defense and NO still means NO.
