Contractor Ken Halverson is alleging that Waxahachie Councilman Joe Gallo forged government documents stating his facilities in his downtown Waxahachie office were Americans With Disabilities Act-compliant.
Photos that were taken recently are alleged by Halverson as proof that this is not the case.
I sent the photos to Gallo for his comments, but I was told they had some sort of virus in them; I guess we’ll find out what the truth is now that the photos are up and available.
Gallo is one of two lawyers on the Waxahachie council. I give him the benefit of the doubt.

Many of the buildings downtown are owned by lawyers, who’s offices are upstairs, no elevator, etc.
And you are jumping on Gallo because of the bathroom?
I am not even sure the ADA requires a non public office to have an ADA bathroom.

Fedup, maybe it is that you are not disabled and are not aware of the law and rules for the disable. but before protecting a lawyer of the downtown stats look at the hole picture joe sighned a federal document stating that he took care of a problem and did not. like the New york gov wants to convict people on issues and does not want to follow same rules.

I think there is something wierd about grown men going around taking pictures of bathrooms. If this is the worst thing you can find on Gallo you need to find another victim for your brand of suburban terrorism. How about pictures of Rodney Pat Ramsey’s bathrooms?

I have leased a space from the offices in question. While I am not an expert of ADA laws I can tell you that it appeared that Mr. Gallo took every precaution to comply with ADA rules. I think this story is low and needs to be dropped immediately. Primarily, because there is no story here.

ENOUGH of the potty pics…show me the pics of no ramps, handicapped parking, handicapped door ingress/egress, a lack of elevators if this building has multiple stories, narrow doors too narrow for wheelchair bound persons, etc. Agreed with Former Tennant. This story is a non-starter IMHO.

By the way, whatever happened to Ken Halverson and his contempt of court charges? I have heard nothing. Was there a finding of guilt or innocence?
