What would a Libertarian sheriff administration look like? The first person candidate Mike Treis sought to bring on board was Constable Steve McKinney, who finished two percentage points out of the March 4 GOP primary. McKinney, who is set to endorse James Ledbetter publicly, declined the offer.

If Constable Steve McKinney wishes to have a future in the Ellis County GOP he might wish to reconsider his endorsement of James Ledbetter. While many candidates lose a race; few go out of their way to directly endorse a democrat.
Mr. McKinney, are you for better county government or self-centered revenge? It’s up to you to decide. Just please remember the ramifications of your choice.
You will asked to answer for your actions in the future.

What a prominent Republican in Ellis County that is afraid to use his own name, I find that very hard to believe…I would assume that this is just another ploy by the “brownies” to once again scare someone to their side…Hang in there Steve…you know the kinds of support you have and don’t fall prey to their evil tactics.

No more geriatric patients running the department. I’m on board, and you should be too. What is Ledbetter’s four-year plan? Don’t die?? I like the guy, but damn, how can you run a department at the age of 328? (yes, that’s three hundred twenty-eight years old)
